Except for Halloween and Christmas, I don't decorate too much for holidays, but I do like to have just a little something festive around the house. I spotted this Easter egg garland diy project made from paint swatches the other day and I knew it was just the right amount of decoration to celebrate Easter(other than these). You can see the full tutorial for the garland with a printable template here. I chose to cut out my egg shape free hand because I wanted it to have a more "home-made" look to it and I strung the shapes onto a half inch thick purple grosgrain ribbon. The entire project only took about 30 minutes and it fit perfectly on our kitchen chalk board. Disclaimer: this project does require you to go to your local hardware store and take more paint chips than a normal person while acting like you are just "researching" for an upcoming paint project.
There are so many more festive things you could do with these egg cut outs. They would be perfect on hand-made Easter cards or used as the place cards and dish markers for an Easter brunch.
